Glansevern Hall Gardens

Visit over 20 acres of mature gardens at Glansevern Hall, built over 200 years ago overlooking a secluded valley towards the distant Kerry Hills.

The gardens are noted for their collection of unusual trees. Stroll along the lakeside path which passes through mixed woodland, under-planted with flowering shrubs, with ornamental shelters providing resting places on the way.

Closer to the house are formal gardens with lawns, herbaceous beds and borders. The huge rock garden and the grotto passing beneath it are a Victorian extravaganza dating from about 1840. An orangery faces south through Ginkgo trees towards the central fountain.

The walled garden is a place of secluded corners and secret places. Not far away is a romantic folly overlooking River Severn.

Facilities include a tea room, shop and plant sales.
