Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art

Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art is the second most visited contemporary art gallery outside London, offering a thought-provoking programme of temporary exhibitions and workshops, and displaying work by local and international artists.

Opened in 1996, the Gallery is housed in an elegant, neo-classical building in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Refurbished to house the city’s contemporary art collection, the building is an appealing combination of old and new architecture, incorporating a number of artists’ commissions.

There's an impressive library in the basement, complete with its café, free Internet access terminals, multimedia, art, and book-lending facilities.
An Education and Access studio on the rooftop facilitates workshops and artists talks for all ages.
