Bridge Cottage, Flatford

Bridge Cottage is a 16th-century thatched cottage in the heart of beautiful Dedham Vale, a quintessentially English rural landscape.
It is famous for being the location for John Constable's idyllic pastoral paintings and is home to an exhibition on the artist. Short guided tours of the major Constable painting sites at Flatford are available.
There are a variety of walks along the River Stour and a beautiful riverside tea-room.

March 2nd to March 31st, Wednesday to Sunday, 11.00 am to 4.00 pm.
April 1st to April 30th, Monday to Sunday, 11.00 am to 5.00 pm.
May 1st to September 30th, Monday to Sunday, 10.30 am to 5.30 pm. 
October 1st to October 31st, Monday to Sunday, 11.00 am to 4.30 pm.
November 2nd to December 23rd, Wednesday to Sunday, 11.00 am to 3.30 pm. 

Open Bank Holiday Mondays

Bridge Cottage may close early in winter if weather is bad (October to March). Last admission 30 minutes before closing.
