The Fitzwilliam Museum

The Fitzwilliam Museum houses world-class collections of works of art and antiquities spanning centuries and civilisations.
 
Highlights include masterpieces of painting from the fourteenth century to the present day, drawings and prints, sculpture, furniture, armour, pottery and glass, oriental art, illuminated manuscripts, coins and medals and antiquities from Egypt, the Ancient Near East, Greece, Rome and Cyprus.

Café
The Courtyard Café serves an all-day menu including morning coffee, afternoon tea, sandwiches and light lunches.

Shop
The Courtyard Shop is located adjacent to the Café, selling a wide range of postcards, art books, prints and merchandise inspired by the collections. The shop closes 15 minutes before the Museum.

The Museum welcomes families with children. Free family activity Fitz Kits and trails are available from both entrance desks

Special Events

Music in Gallery III is frequently provided on Sundays at 1.15pm by University Instrumental award holders and others.

Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, 12.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Closed on Mondays, Good Friday, 24th-26th and 31st  December and 1st January.
