Shopping on the Kings Road
The Kings Road isn’t on the edge any longer, but it does have a very good selection of clothes and shoe shops, and an atmosphere which you will either love or hate. (Think women wearing sunglasses when it’s cloudy)
There is a slightly arty feel to the area – Chelsea College of Art and Design is at the top of the road, and there are a couple of galleries and an art shop.
If you are hungry, try the Chelsea Kitchen; a long established institution which seems stuck in a 1960’s time-warp which is part of it’s charm – you can get a full meal for a few pounds, but don’t expect Haute cuisine – what you see is what you get.
