Shopping in Cardiff

The Welsh capital has a good mix of high street shops and an interesting Victorian covered market.

 

Cardiff’s main shopping thoroughfare is on the pedestrianised Queen Street, which is also home to the Capitol Shopping Centre, with brands including Karen Millen and Benetton.

 

St. David’s Shopping Centre, has something for everyone, with 60 leading stores from Gap to Jones Bootmaker and Republic.

 

The Victorian indoor market offers an assortment of merchandise, from fresh fish to traditional Welsh cheeses, rolls of designer fabrics to mobile phones. Another place to visit for locally grown food is the Riverside Real Food Market which takes place on the Taff Embankment every Sunday.
